Let Us Know You're Moving
The first step is to let us know that you intend to leave the property.
Under a Scottish Private Residential Tenancy (PRT), you'll need to provide the required notice in accordance with your tenancy agreement and current Scottish legislation.
Once we receive your notice, we'll confirm your move-out date and explain the next steps.

📋 Step 2
Prepare the Property
Before leaving, we ask tenants to return the property in a clean and tidy condition, taking reasonable care to leave it as close as possible to the condition recorded at the start of the tenancy, allowing for fair wear and tear.

✔ Remove all personal belongings
✔ Clean kitchens and bathrooms
✔ Empty bins
✔ Defrost the freezer if applicable
✔ Cut the grass if responsible under your tenancy
✔ Check cupboards and storage areas

🔍 Step 3
Final Inspection
We'll arrange a final inspection of the property once you've moved out.
The inspection compares the property's condition with the original inventory and check-in report, taking fair wear and tear into account.
Our inspections are carried out professionally, fairly, and transparently.
During the Inspection We Check

✔ Any damage beyond fair wear and tear

✔ Meter readings where applicable

🔑 Step 4
Return Your Keys
Once you've finished moving out, all keys, fobs, parking permits and access devices should be returned to Easy Property Management as agreed.
Returning everything promptly helps bring your tenancy to a smooth conclusion.

Deposit Return
Your tenancy deposit is protected in an approved Scottish Tenancy Deposit Scheme.
Once the final inspection has been completed and any agreed deductions have been resolved, the deposit return process will begin through the tenancy deposit scheme.
